First of all, during the operation of the horizontal screw decanter centrifuge, as the rotation speed n of the drum continuously increases, the separation factor obtained increases and the separation effect increases. At the same time, the differential speed between the screw and the drum will gradually increase and the processing capacity of the equipment will increase. At the same time, the vibration and noise of the equipment will increase and the service life will decrease. Based on such considerations, it is important to select an appropriate rotation speed when it is determined that the separation requirement can be satisfied during the separation process.
Secondly, we must also reasonably control the feed flow, that is, the throughput of the horizontal screw decanter centrifuge. Under normal circumstances, the flow rate of the feed is small, the axial flow rate of the feed liquid in the rotary drum is also small, the residence time of the feed material in the machine is long, and the separation effect is improved. Conversely, when the feed flow rate increases, the axial flow rate also increases, the residence time of the material in the machine decreases, and the separation effect decreases.
The third also chooses the appropriate overflow plate diameter D. For horizontal screw decanter centrifuges, the adjustment of the diameter of the large-end overflow plate of the drum will change the effective length of the settlement zone and the drying zone of the drum. With a small diameter of the overflow plate, the settlement zone will increase and the drying zone will increase. With the decrease, the depth of the liquid pool in the drum increases, and the solid content in the liquid phase after separation can be reduced, but the moisture content of the solid phase sediment increases.
In addition, the differential rotation speed of the drum and screw of the horizontal screw decanter centrifuge must be reasonably controlled. Usually the determination of the differential speed of the horizontal screw decanter centrifuge is determined according to the solid content of the material. Larger solids should be used for larger differentials, and less solids for smaller differentials.
