Solid liquid separation centrifuge classification and application

Feb 08, 2018

Solid liquid separation centrifuge in the chemical industry, light industry, pharmaceutical and metallurgical and other fields have a very important role. Therefore, in many production processes, solid-liquid separation centrifuge has become one of the key equipment. Therefore, the quality of the performance of the equipment will directly affect the quality of many processes to achieve the possibility of industrial-scale production, process of advanced and reliability.

Not only that, solid liquid separation centrifuge performance conditions will directly affect the quality of products, how much energy consumption and environmental protection and other economic and social benefits. In general, we refer to the technique of separating a heterogeneous system using a centrifugal force field as centrifugation. Depending on the presence or absence of a rotating part, the device can be divided into a stationary fuselage rotary flow separation device and a fuselage rotating centrifugal separation device.

Combined with the current application situation, solid-liquid separation centrifuge has been widely used in chemical industry sector and other related fields. Among them, the most widely used types are decanter centrifuge, filter centrifuge and combined centrifuge respectively. The so-called filter centrifuge is mainly through the role of filters and centrifugal force, and its drum wall has many small holes, holes within the filter, the suspension in the drum rotation, by centrifugal force to throw the liquid off the screen, and The solid phase particles are intercepted by the screen to form a filter cake so as to achieve solid-liquid separation.

Another type of solid-liquid separation centrifuge that is also very much appreciated by users is usually what we call a decanter centrifuge. There is neither a hole nor a filter on the drum of a decanter centrifuge. When it works, the suspension rotates at high speed with the rotating drum. Due to the different specific gravity of the solid and liquid phases, the centrifugal inertial force is also different. The solid particles with large centrifugal force are deposited on the inner wall of the rotating drum and the liquid is deposited on the inner layer. After discharge from different outlets, so that solid-liquid two-phase separation.

With the continuous development of technology in the future, solid-liquid separation centrifuge will also usher in more opportunities for improvement. The first is the application of new materials, such as FRP, engineering plastics, cemented carbide and so on. Due to the material to be separated solid-liquid separation centrifuge separation effect greatly affected, and therefore some material modification techniques have gradually been valued and widely used.
