Two phase decanter centrifuge has advantages and uses

Aug 27, 2018

The two-phase decanter centrifuge is relatively wide in the middle of the operation, and is very suitable for centrifugal filtration when it is operated, because the solid particles are easy to block the filter medium and the filtration resistance is too large or the fine particles are lost. The suspension is separated for a long time, but the moisture content of the sediment is high. The sedimentation centrifuge can be used for the separation of suspensions of crystallization, chemical sediments, pulverized coal, etc., dewatering of various sewage sludges, and slag clarification of animal and vegetable oils.

The two-phase decanter centrifuge has a relatively low running speed and a large rotor diameter. The centrifuge with high fluidity during operation is usually designed as a rigid shaft. The original scientific research machine is designed as a rigid shaft and its drum shaft. The shaft diameter is larger (Φ125mm), the critical speed is greater than the working speed, the distance between the drum shaft and the support bearing is large (800mm), and the large-size bearing is set, and the height of the entire rotating shaft system is also reduced accordingly, because there is no over-critical The vibration problem at the time of the rotation speed is simplified correspondingly, and the spherical support which is often required for the flexible shaft is eliminated.

The two-phase decanter centrifuge has the advantage that the operating speed is lower than its critical speed and the vibration problem without excessive critical speed can be operated over a wide speed range. The structure of the rigid shaft itself can be set with a large-sized bearing, and the bearing has a good stress state, which can improve the life of the whole machine. The disadvantage is that it is not easy to achieve full remote operation for disassembly and maintenance.
